Where did the Black Death start in Europe in the 14th century?

    and a partner question

How long can bubonic plague lie dormant ?

Well you probably should have, coz its less embarassing. Why would you say Iceland?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 320 ✭✭Sysiphus

    Harrumph,

Iceland - properly known as Republic of Iceland.

I proposed this as the answer to the "which countries caost if streched" question.

but as humour I added "the shop" bit to exemplify that i didn't believe that a modern day retailer started a medevil plague!!!

so where the  comes from I have no clue, i'm not responsable if you can't follow a fas moving thread, and the acknowledgement of someone who posted in mid flow of another question!!!

Turkey - part of it's in Europe... :D
Plague only died out (in the 1850's?) when the ottomans used the same quarantine techniques developed in europe

IIRC it's my question since I answered the last one correctly,
[RANT] You could have at least waited more than a minute  [/RANT]

In Ireland there are two forms of sign-langague - Prodestant and Catholic.

Similarly there is one type of animal that has Prodestant and Catholic species - which one ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 320 ✭✭Sysiphus

Since - Protestant / Catholic are religious divides and since Humans are neither Mineral nor Vegetable I contend that Humans ~ regardless of the seekers belief - is A correct answer (based on the view that it has yet to be shown that a mineral or vegetable can have religious / philosophical view)

So my Q is What did no. 1 (in Hitch Hikers GTTG) Interogate??

Sorry there is only one species of Humans ( unless you demonstrate otherwise ;) )

The question was about TWO similar species one of which is associated with the catholic religion and the other with prodestants. Clue - they native Irish species.

Answer for 14th Century plague was Genoa. Will defer to you on Turkey. :D
Plague bacillius can lie dormant for up to 500 years.
