A couple of things. if you don't want to be slagged, why did you put this here. So anybody who likes any of these bands (and the only ones I do are nirvana and g'n'r ) could pat you on the back and say, yeah, fair play frink, you da man.

Secondly, what's wrong with pop. Are you trying to tell me my love of the pet shop boys and such like is misplaced.
but i won't slag you.
i'll ask you a question.
Are you between 13 and 16 ?
Do you have a fear of bands that are not comprised of guitars and white men (who are mostly hetrosexual)?

er, no. they reinvented themselves. any band that is still playing the same music album after album obviously havent learnt their trade. personally i prefer their newer stuff, although i still like their old stuff. but then again. i grew up with the band, matured and mellowed with them.
i guess the youth of today just love to bash their heads against the wall. obviously the louder the music anbd the more you can try to give yourself whiplash the better.

...Ahh, a music know it all.
The old playground shouts of "I know more about music than you do!" come flooding back to me.

Everyone elses taste and opinion on music is just as valid as yours my friend.

I didn't mention Emperor...
I'm actualy listening to Emperor right now.

Or Metallica, but they kick ass...
Definetly Older Metallica, it was much darker before they sold out.
I mean, some of the stuff they did was nearly Black Metal.

And songs like Fade To Black and Welcome Home (Sanitarium) could have come striaght out of Type O Negative!

They were a much better band when they were darker...

If you take it that seriously, you can't.

I have quite a fair bit of music, but I couldn't be bothered to pick out THE TEN BEST BANDS.

I just threw up ten bands I liked in any old order.
Except that Cradle Of Filth has to be on top.

There are tonnes of bands I could have put in the list.
Emperor
Metallica
Misery Loves Co.
Nine Inch Nails
Children Of Bodom
The Haunted
Opeth
The Smashing Pumpkins

The list goes on...
They are all valid, but if you have so much, you really cant take this kind of thing seriously.

Just jot up ten bands that would give people an impression of what you like, and that'll be fair.

Or thats how I see it, at least...

What did u think of the COF gig a couple of weeks back at the TBMC?

With your list of fav bands, are u going to the Wacken OPen Air? I was thinking of organising a group.

Yeah, Children Of Bodom are class, I didn't mention them either.
I am waiting for their new album to come in now. I have Hatebreeder.
And, yeah, I was at Cradle Of Filth in Temple Bar.
Met the entire band, I was hanging around for ages with them talking and everything.
I got autographs, and I got my guitar signed by Paul, Gian and Rob.

I'm going to go to Wacken for definet.

Most of the rock bands that I like have already been mentioned. BTW frink, I rekon most of the bands u mentioned are class, limp bizkit a bit dodgy tho, sounds like ure describing an impotent black guy

Just to mention some of the oldies that get ignored by modern tastes...
