old mans child (best band name i ever heard)

Someone said "metallic (old)" and then:

old metallica rule man! metallica sold out after the black album man!

I have serious issues with Metallica, re: Napster and general music style.
Originally posted by WhiteWashMan:
er, no. they reinvented themselves. any band that is still playing the same music album after album obviously havent learnt their trade. personally i prefer their newer stuff

I enjoy hearing this crap. It reaffirms my faith in humanity.

first post here, thought this might be a good way to start.

top ten, no order, cause there can't be order:

Arena
Dream Theater
Pendragon
Marillion
Liquid Tension Experiment
Rage Against The Machine
Nirvana
Joe Satriani
Everlast
UB40 (early eighties stuff)

tried to keep the list as wide as possible. Ofcourse I haven't heard enough, but I'm one of those few that actually buys albuns these days. That and the fact I'm unemployed and 18 years old kinda limits it all.

hey just half, if anyone replys to what you wrote in a hostile way just ignore it, because
it always results in flaming.

• Closed Accounts Posts: 670 ✭✭✭Sliotar

Frink, im gonna just have to give you a pat on the back and say well done. i am one of the few ppl who agrees with you on your choice of music. that would'nt be my exact top ten or my order, but you're talkin my kind of music all the same. you'll notice that most ppl on these boards are into the more "underground" stuff, the kind that never makes it into the charts. and therefore consider themselves superior to ppl like us. well dont let them put you off! we dont have to apologise for our taste in music, altough a lot of the ppl around here would make you think that.

GWAN BLINK 182!!!! GWAN!!!!

i enjoy reading this crap. it means someones read what ive said. theyve then thought about it and decided to answer. this is the basis for conversation and debate.
it better than sitting around patting each other on the back and tell ing each other how cool they are coz they found another amusingly named band that sound like someones just chewed a coke bottle with false teeth.
people get very defensive when others dont like the same thing. shame on you JustHalf for only picking on me. but if you do, at least make a better debate out of it, and use my quotes in context as they are meant. otherwise, its not really an observation, it mearly looks like youre a tosser. which im quiet sure you are not
