Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Police rescue man from bride at hen party

Police in Germany had to rescue a swiming pool attendant at a hen party after the bride-to-be tried to bully him into having sex.

The woman, in her mid-twenties, trapped the man in a lost property office and tried to undress him, reports Bild newspaper. The bride, who turned out to be perfectly sober, told police she "wanted to fool around one last time before the wedding".

She had managed to trick the man into taking her into the lost property room during a visit to the pool in Schweinfurt, Bavaria. "She locked the door, and without further ado, started trying to undress the man," a police spokesman told Bild newspaper. A colleague outside heard his shouts for help and called the police.

She was later released and police decided against revealing her identity so as "not to endanger future marital peace". "All she had to do was promise us to be a good girl and drive straight home," a police spokesman said.

OK, all the facts aren't presented in this article. However, what appears to be an amusing little story isn't so amusing if you think about it. THink about if - if the gender roles were reversed (i.e. a man locked a woman up in a room, with the clear goal of having sex against her will) he would get 3-5 years for kidnapping and attempted rape. From what the story reports, the police response appears to be negligent (whether the man pressed charges or not, a criminal offense clearly took place!).

Anyway, thought this was interesting. Please think about it before flaming me with the obvious biological differences between men and women etc. etc. The man was being forced into a position against his will that caused him to cry out for help....

so much for gender equality in the EU's model nation.

No doubt about it. This is a theme I've brought up a few times. People are conciuos of the fact but unwilling or unsure how they should feel. How to proceed...
