    Howdy folks,
Just received my Cheiftec dragon case from komplett and found that the power supply connector for the mainboard is an ATX 2*12 white connector.
But the connector on the board is 10*2 and so does not fit.

Is 10*2 the standard for mainboards and the case ps is in-correct.

    thanks in advance

    karlos

It should fit on it, with the extra 4 connectors hanging off the edge.

Do a google to see which side should hang off it.

(alternatively, you may be able to buy a 10 > 12 adapter)

is this a common thing that happens with mainbd and ps connectors.
Are the 4 connectors not needed ??

    Fairly common.

    My akasa 460W PSU came with the 10x2 and a 10x2 > 12x2 adapter.

just checked - no room either side for the extra part of the connector.

Did you just say that your pc has a 24-20 Atx ps connector.

Where will I get one ? maplin don't have one -- blanch..

just onto Peats and found out that 2*12 atx connectors are now standard for power supplies and that I need a 2*12 to 2*10 adaptor (which peats & maplin ddon't have).

any ideas where I could get one of these adaptors.

    ps cable is 2*12 -male
connector for motherbaord is 2*10- female
