His anger at being shown to be imperfect is clear evidence that this young person is an absolute trollop and ought to be horse-whipped and deported to Wales. Failing that, some pointing and laughing would suffice.

He (or she) is allowed to call us homosexual. In the majority of cases, he's wrong, but that's his own stupid fault and not something to bother you about. But his blatant abuse of the English language cannot go unchecked. First Boards.ie, then some crappy form that no one cares about, then the world... or mebbe Texaco..

As you are now aware, someone from your school (possibly one of your students) has been causing some grief and abusing several members of an online community at www.boards.ie. The post in question can be seen at http://www.boards.ie/bulletin/Forum14/HTML/000690.html.

Now, according to one of the Administrators of the site (Mr Tom Murphy), this "Violant Rage" character (please note his incorrect spelling of the word violent) has been traced back to your school and has an email address of egallagher@glenstal.ie. Presuming that this is indeed Mr Gallagher that's causing the problem (and not someone who's taken control of this account), I would hope that suitable disciplinary action would be taken.

I think it's great to see schools opening the internet up to it's students to give them as much of an advantage as possible, but when it's abused by characters such as this, it reflects badly on everyone and everything takes a step backwards as teachers will have to spend time monitoring what the students are viewing.

At this stage, most of us regulars on boards.ie have quite a thick skin and don't get upset when incidents like this happen, but it sets a bad example to others and may deter potential new members from joining. The site is hopefully going to be nominated for a Golden Spider (Irish Internet) award, so incidents like this need to be kept to a minimum as judges will be examining the site over the next few months.

The email given was egallagher@glenstal.ie this may be fake or you may know the person involved. The user name Violant-Rage was given.

This person obviously has major problems with basic grammar and spelling. I was wondering if this person is a student in your school? If so I am shocked that basic fundamentals of the language have been ignored. Are all your students around this level?

What’s even more shocking is this person is a blatant homophobic. I am really scared by the possibility that there are students in twenty first century Ireland who are able to hold such hatred towards homosexuals. Is this a result of influence from members of the teaching staff in your school?

I also found quite disturbing that this person’s problem stemmed from people debating over a band called Limp Bizkit. As an Irish citizen I have freedom to express my individual views, as does everybody. I therefore should not be subjected to this kind of garbage. This is another sign of this person lack of education.

I can understand that this is probably just one bad apple, but you must realise that your school has been publicly brought down because of this individual. In this case one bad apple is spoiling the whole bushel. My personal opinion towards your school has been affected and if I know someone thinking of sending a child there I will feel obligated to mentioning this incident.

Hopefully you will be able to resolve this matter quickly.
