To generate a snag list - which is the list of all major and minor defects in a new building as constructed by the building trade

    Usually a long list ;)

A "snag list" is a list prepared on behalf of a client / purchaser of the (hopefully) minor problems in a building, presented tot he builder / seller.

Do it yourself, thats what I did. Just go through each room individually and check everything from top to bottom. ;)

Relax the kacks..What do you need them for. You check everything yourself. Bought numerous properties in the past, got alsorts of "experts" to snag it and its all common sense. You don't need specialised equipment just your eyes and savvy. If the water pressure aint right, if you see damp, if an electrical socket looks off, if the tank is leaking, etc, maybe some people could give you pointers on this thread. At the end of the day you can pay a guy 200 to spend half an hour in your apartment to list the things you would have spotted.
