    Hi,

I would like to have windows perform an imcremental backup daily to some webspace i have on an ftp server. Ive tried do this with windows schedular but it only allows remote backups to 'mapped network drives'

Would anyone know of any free software that could do this, or maybe another way?

    Thanks!

    Adrian

what do you mean by back up as in a particular folder of the whole lot?

    Cheapest is

    http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=96269
    Using FTP Batch Scripts

Not very efficient as it doesn't check for file update times.

You can use the windows backup agent to create differential or incremental snapshots, and post those files instead.

And you might want to write a rotation period into your setup so you have full copies from last week, last month.

    optiplexgx270 >> just a folder...

Tnx, I checked out those script files. I guess i could user windows schedular and windows ntbackup to perform an incremental backup and save to the c drive, then write a script to ftp this to the server. The problem is that im running this over a dsl connection and would prefer only to ftp the incremental part of the backup rather than the full thing.

    two free solutions

    http://filezilla.sourceforge.net

or you could schedule a batch file to run that redirects a test file into ftp at Dos prompt - painfull but possible
