    FIrst time post here... :D

I've been playing HE for ages, and recently lost my casino virginity to the FITZ in cash game...
I sat down, played the idiot, asked for change, had the button idea explained etc...then 4/5 hands in took a relatively big pot with a club flush on the river...

ethics here folks...the little guy on my shoulder as been nagging me since...is what i did wrong? should i feel bad? or should i feel smug for taking a table like that...

    save my soul...medZer

Also there is a 65-Euro freezeout (50 to the pot, 15 to charity) next Tuesday evening if you are interested!

As for the ethics, its dead simple. Everyone sits around the table and plays with the same cards. If they want to play weaker because the think you are new, let them. Believe me, I doubt ANYONE played weaker, if anything they probably wanted to strip your cash faster then the others!

I get it a lot at the cash games table, lots of respect for being a "rock" and a lot of bullying cos I'm new(ish). All donations gratefully received!
I've acted pissed, stupid, new, tired, scared and/or confused in order to get cash from my opponent. If they cant afford to lose it, they shouldnt be playing. Part of the game is reading tells and part of the game (the part I particularly like to play against LaForteasy) is selling those tells in order to distract and divert your opponent.

Yes Ive seen you acting pissed at a poker table, that was just before you gave away all your money too, well played.

Another one that seems tobe popular is pretending to be female dont see how this works so maybe its just that they always wanted to be girls.

Medzer were you playing the holdem game last thursday?

A famous Quote once said "The best way to win a GAmbling is to cheat".

Now im not saying bad dealing, but, if you can do something with in the rules to give you an edge do it. I always though that playing a table was all part of playing poker?

Anyway, most really good players would have seen it coming.

I'd agree with that, a couple of times recently I've been paid off by acting weak and unsure after I'd flopped a house.
You have to be careful not to do anything that gives you an unfair advantage, angleshooting or whatever.

I remember I misread my hand one time and confidently pushed in €50 on the turn to a pot I'd been raised on twice, the other two players folded and I won €60 odd..

    ...which was nice

HAH - totally thought I got trip sixes on the river one day in a home game. Started betting like crazy into a huge pot, and everyone folded.

When they asked me what I had, I flipped over my cards and said "The Beast! Oh - wait a sec...five high" Fecking hilarious! I managed to bluff myself!
