Much as I LOVE Nine Inch Nails, I'd still prefer Tool & yes, it's down to PURE snobbery & the fact Tool's music does present alot of interesting ideas....

I used to really hate the bejesus outta Tool until I actually got into A Perfect Circle, realised WHY I liked them & then revisited Tool......

I'm a huge fan of both but NIN are leagues ahead of Tool. My reasoning? Tool have put out four excellent cd's and a box set since 92. Trent Reznor has put out (not including singles) 13 excellent cd's with only a three year head start on Tool.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of them and Tool also. What I don't like is when people automatically assume that Maynard is responsible for APC's greatness, when in fact, it's more Billy's work than his. Respect to The Other Bald Billy..

I've only heard two NIN albums, and from that I prefer Tool, but I guess it isn't a fair comparison..

As someone posted earlier if I'm partying I prefer NIN and then for relaxing Tool is my favourite. Both are excellent bands in their own right.
