    Hi Alfasudcrazy,

Your 504 looks great alright !
I never liked them, but it is still great to see a 70's car in such good nick.

Is VRT costly on such a car ?

Do you have any pics of the Sud ? ......... I always liked those !!

Here is my sud :D - I bought it off Ebay recently - part of my plan to increase my classics to 4 cars. It cost me STG£1,600. I see another Alfasud on Ebay at the moment (admittedly pristine) that's heading for STG£1,900 and there is still 5 days to go on the auction.
Mine is 99% rust free but it was idle for 10 years and so has to be checked out. It drives OK but I want Gerry Cambell of Ti autos in Dublin to give it the once over and have it booked in with him for January.
The sound of it is so exotic it gives me goose pimples just listening to it.

What about the Corrado - the one 80's car I always wanted but never had. Its hard to get an original one now as they have been got to by the modders :(

best car I remember was the BMW M1...it was never 'on the roads' but passed it every weekend on the Naas Road tucked up in the showroom when I was a kid.

I saw that car on the Naas Rd a couple of years ago.

AFAIK, it was owned by BMW distributors, Motor Import Irl which is now Frank Keane (Naas Rd) BMW.
He has/had a collection of various classic BMW's. The BMW Club Ireland often meet there during the summer - at least they did when Motor Import was there.

    Cool car !

Anybody got any pics of an Irish reg Opel Manta (any year) or Kadett SR (80-84 model) ?

Yup with nice 80s alloys ;)

Within the blue collar range of hottish hatches, I was in the Kadett camp at the time as opposed to Golf and Escort
