My friend wanted me to there a while ago hes mad into it, but i didnt wanna.

Where is it exactly? and is it a dump like I've heard...?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie

chick. it's on camden street. if you walk down dame street and take a left you come to george's street with the george pub on it. keep on walking you'll come to aungier street (with the dit on it) then wexford street (whelans and the village). the palace is about 50 m up.

on whether it's a dump or not. i've been going there for a good few years and relative to coyote and fireworks and the lieks its def. not a dunmp. it was for a stage very anabel's esque where it was just 6th years and 1st years. the security are ran very well in there and there are rarely fights.

upstairs is where they filmed the rehearsal scenes for the commitments. then it was the dance music kinda techno type version of the palace. downstairs , was techincally planet murphy's bar part of the hotel and played chart music.

now, upstairs is full of pool tables and a snooker table. downstairs has a much smaller dance floor but still plays the same kind of music.

i think's its good place. but i can why ppl call it a dump

Ok I'm not exactly going there for the snooker, but thanks!

Eh it's called Socialising, you should really try it sometime! ;)

 How can you compare a hard pool table with pointy corners to a bed!

You don't lie on the corners. Plus you can use the pockets as foot holes for bracing purposes. And you can make hilarious puns.

Oh yes, with the shiny balls and firm wooden sticks and receptive holes and a furry playing surface, the possibilities are endless.
