A bit of a vague question tbh.

Depends on where you're going within China, where you're departing from, when you're going etc. Airlines have different prices depending on different factors, so there most likely won't be one that is consistently cheapest

Currently cheapest I can find, with random dates next May, is with KLM via Amsterdam to Beijing, and that's €667.36

I'd recommend you start checking out some of the sites listed in the sticky at the top of this forum and get some prices.

China Airlines fly from Amsterdam and their the cheapest, the planes aren't up to much and the only inflight entertainment is teh Hostess'es walking up and down the lane, but the prices are good.

China Airlines won`t bring you to Bejing, at least not quickly.

They are the state airline of Taiwan, and fly AMS-Bangkok-Taipei. Then from there you would have to fly with them to HKK, and only then on to Beijing, as they are not allowed direct flights from Taiwan to China.

Cheapest Option might be KLM from Amsterdam or Cathay via HK. Check Trailfinders. They usually have a good choice.

Why not take the train ???
It'd be something not many people make the effort to do and you'd see vast sections of land that you'd miss out on if flying.

Don't know if it'd save you money in the long run and you'd to have time on your hands but I reckon it'd be pretty cool ;)

What about BA or Cathay Pacific?
