It's a pity, poor ol' Abi. Still should be a rockin' show!

Tomorrow, Saturday December 11th - Dublin, The Ambassador
This Sunday, December 12th - Derry, The Nerve Centre
This Monday, December 13th - Belfast, The Spring & Airbrake

In an unfortunate turn of events, The Zutons' saxophonist Abi Harding is unable to play at the band's sell-out Irish headline tour this weekend due to ill health.

On doctor's orders, Harding will not be travelling to Ireland with the band for their three-date tour that starts tomorrow at Dublin's Ambassador Theatre.

Earlier this year, the band were forced to postpone a similar run of dates when drummer Sean Payne was struck down with a severe viral infection. This time though, the band have decided to play the dates without their saxophonist.

"We are so excited to be playing these shows in Ireland and when we heard the news about Abi we decided that, rather than let our fans down, we would still do the shows. We hope our fans understand it's not the ideal situation, but we promise we will do our best," said singer Dave McCabe,

The band's popularity has swelled in Europe over the last twelve months, thanks in no small part to their Mercury Music Prize nomination for their debut album "Who Killed The Zutons" and tomorrow night's show at the Ambassador Theatre in Dublin is totally sold out.

"Who Killed The Zutons" has just gone platinum in the UK. The new single, 'Confusion' is out in Ireland today.

    OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE ZUTONS:
Abi Harding from The Zutons has been advised by her doctor not to travel to Ireland for their shows in Dublin, Derry and Belfast this weekend. She has been diagnosed with severe Sinusitis and has been warned if she does not rest for the next four or five days she will do irreparable damage to her health. As these dates have already been rescheduled once, due to drummer Sean Payne being struck down by a viral infection, the band have decided to do the shows without her so as not to let down their fans for a second time. A refund is available for ticket holders who choose not to attend.
