    They're LP "Since I Left You" is class.

    That song is probably the best thing on it though.

    I loved "Since I left You" because I thought this was finally an artist who abandoned the really hackneyed methods of sampling previously used. Then out comes "Frontier Psychiatrist", which is everything loathsome about sampling, "crazy" dialogue from 1950s repeated ad naseum and a song that reaches its limits about 40 seconds in.

    Really a dissappointing second single.

    The Avalanches are from Melbourne so they have played here a few times. I went to see them about 3 times and I was well impressed. Their main DJ came second in the DMC World DJ Championships last year and he put on a good show.

    I don't know if their EPs are available over there but they are really good... cool.gif
