this promises to be a fantastic year for music! so, whos new albums are you looking forward to??

i can't wait for: the shins, beck, flaming lips, sigur ros, british sea power, decemberists, m83, mogwai, broken social scene, boards of canada. probably some more good ones that i've forgotten.

especially the shins. i have a feeling that they are going to come out with one hell of an album!

I didn't know Boards of Canada and Sigur Ros had new albums due in 2005. Both should be very good.

I'm looking forward to Nine Inch Nails: With Teeth.

I've heard the new M83 album. Dead Cities was hard to beat, but the new one "Before The Dawn Heals Us" is very very good.

The Mars Volta is all so far. Maybe Foo Fighters (if they're making another one).

these two aren't set in stone, no official dates or anything. but boards of canada apperently have one already done, but are waiting to release it to coincide with their new tour next year. it was originally rumoured to be coming out this month.

forgot about mars volta. i'd be interested in hearing it allright. could be very good. on the other hand, general craziness and ****ing about could turn it into another deloused. (which was cool for a while, some class songs, but i couldn't sit through the whole thing more than 3 or 4 times). they are talented though.....

I think Metallica are heading back into the Studio in January...

Should be interesting to see if Truijillo can do anything good.

Really?! I never knew that. I will definitely be there and can't wait for the new album. Definitely one of the most underrated bands out there.

The new Mars Volta album is pretty good, more rocky, but each song is reallllly long.

But he's still alive. Don't you have to be dead for 50 years?

cant wait for some new mogwai

2005 will see domination by bloc party i think.

also if biffy clyro have a new one out next year (they will if they keep their streak going of 3 albums in 3 years)

other good albums that have been mentioned before

Weezer album #5 - this will probably be not as good as pinkerton or blue album but can't be worst than their last dribble also the way not a single demo has been leaked/released heightens the tension.

Idlewild - should be a good one, if it's to sound anything like the remote part.

Foo fighters - the last i heard was they are planning to release a double album where one cd is electric and the second is acoustic, should be interesting to say the least.

Didn't know anything about an Idlewild album. I can see it not being as good as previous albums, but I'll certainly be picking it up anyway.

Foo Fighters... sounds good. I really hope it's better than One By One.
