Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I firmly believe that most people who prefer Loveless heard Loveless first and then heard Isn't Anything

I think if Isn't Anything was heard in context and prior to Loveless (i.e. when it was released back in 1988) then you will prefer Isn't Anything

I saw My Bloody Valentine play live both pre-Loveless (1990) and post-Loveless (1992) and I must say that the 1990 McGonagles gig was superior

ok fair enough, you have a point there - i did hear loveless first. (wasn't old enough to appreciate either at the time of their release!)

so maybe if i heard Isn't Anything first then i might prefer that. but i didn't. so i don't! :D

loveless is probably one of my top 5 albums of all time. Isn't Anything just doesn't even compare for me...

They're both great - not too gone on the Richard D. James thing though... He could be amazing, but there's something lacking to my mind. A certain je ne sais quoi, y'know? :-) It's frustrating listening to him because of it.

Jeff Buckley - Sketches For My Sweetheart the Drunk....

He was so much more than 'Grace'

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,059 ✭✭✭memaeve

I borrowed 'Sketches....' from someone about a year ago, copied it onto the computer and just fell in love with it. I've been meaning to buy it, but on the rare occasion that I've seen it in HMV, it's been well over €20, so I just end up fecking off to Tower or Road for something else. It was 2nd hand in Road a while back, going dirt cheap, but now i'ts gone.
