What do you think the best Rock/Metal song of 2004 was?

I thought Greenday: "American Idiot" was.

    But what do you think?

    this is a tough one
id go with either of these two

Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix
    or
    Vital Remains - Dechristianize

both of them go down in the history books. ****ing amazing to say the least.

Yeah they are quite good. I saw them supporting FFAF and they were class. Any idea when the new album is out? I heard they were having record company trouble.

Oh and it's too hard to pick the best song this year.

its just being finished recorded as we speak, they expect its gonna be out shortly in the new year if all goes well, i think they signed a big worldwide distro deal not so long ago?? with ffaf?? was that in ireland? or did our very own 20 bulls each play then too?? i wasnt able to move for that week before and after those gigs they played over here

yeah its a tough call for this year, i was tempted to say triggerman - preacher of rock for best song!!

Definately something off Evergreys 'The Inner Circle' album, probably 'A Touch of Blessing', or 'The Essence of Conviction'.

i was at that! 20 bulls each and berkely supported them and they were great at the FFAF gig too.
although a song to ruin was released in 2003 ;)

I thought there were some really good albums in 2004 - but no particularly striking singles. I did enjoy "Die Like A Mother****er" from Therapy's new album though.
