    Hi all,

I'm thinking of ordering ripwave, what are people's experiences of this, especially anyone who lives in the Clontarf/Raheny area?

    Thanks,
    Joe

    I'm on the ballymun mast.
I had a pretty good first 6 weeks with ripwave and then the service
    went terrible.

I was advised to get breeze on these forums before I ordered Ripwave
and I regret not taking that advice now.

I have just ordered breeze and I should get an installation date sometime
    in January.

You could be lucky and it will work fine for you, but a quick look at the
broadband forum will let you see that there are many unlucky people.

What you could do is order ripwave and breeze at the same time. Ripwave
will arrive in the post after a week and you can use that while you are
waiting the 5 weeks for breeze to be installed.

They will only charge you 1 installation. ie if you paid 100 installation for
ripwave then its only 50 more for breeze.
If you are a student then installation for both is completely free. : )

My GF has it in dundrum. It's poor at best.

They have ordered the newer product and hopefully will pass a LOS test, they sit practically inder 3 rock which caused supprise when ripwave just didn't work.

/me crosses his fingers for the new product

Is that true? I'm a student and we paid the 100 Euro installation cost for ripwave.

Thanks for your replies lads. I live in rented accomodation so breeze isn't really viable, looks like it's 50/50 with ripwave.

I live in rented accomodation too but I asked them what my
options were if i had to move and they said that the antena
could be moved to a different location for a relocation fee of
150 euro. so if you are a student and didn't pay the installation
in the first place then you are reallly winning!!! :D
