    Yes, you need a mod account to make a copy but you do not need a mod account to post that link to the board. The person who posted it is highly unlikely to use the same connection as the mod who copied it.

    It wouldn't matter, the stuff can be traced back to the moderator. It would be the mod who would get slapped.
