Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Best gig : Jamie Lidell @ Spiegeltent
    Best event : Sonar 2004
Best night : Last night of Sonar 2004. Started off with some fine mashup action from Hexstatic, then some really great acts off Matthew Herberts Accidental label, then a super long set from Four Tet which ended in 10 minutes of glorious noise, before the three turntables stomping set from Kid Koala before finishing off with Beans. Looking forward to going back to Sonar next year already.

Is Sonar expensive/hard to get to? Always seems to have a class line up

Sonar is pretty cheap and easy to get to.

It's in Barcelona so you have a choice of flying Aer Lingus to Bracelona or Ryanair to Girona or Reus. I flew to Reus last year for just under 100 euro.

Tickets for Sonar itself were 95 euro for three days and two nights (that's music starting at 12 noon and finishing at 6am the next day) (it used to be that it was 90-ish for three days and three nights but alas). On the first night they usually have something arty on in the Forum de Barcelona, which is usually worth going to but will cost 17 euro extra (or so).

It's spread over two venues, one during the day and one during the night. The day venue is bang in the centre of the city, and the night venue is slightly outside the centre but there's a bus you can take there. The night venue is simply awe inspiring and the sound system in it is beyond crazy. Well worth going to.
