Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm burning a couple of CDs for a party soon and I'm running out of idea's for tunes. It's mostly commercial house and dance from the last year or two, i.e.

    Junior Jack - E Samba
Tim Deluxe ft.Sam Obernik - It just won't do
Daft Punk - One more time
Groove Armada - Shakin that Ass (Fatboy Slim Remix)
Armand Van Helden - You don't even know me
    Deep Dish - Flash Dance
Michael Gray - The Weekend (Extended Vocal Edit)
Armand Van Helden - My My My
    Kelis ft.Andre 3000 - Millionaire
Layo & Bushwacka - Love Story (Tim Deluxe Vs. Kings of Tomorrow Mix)
    Truth Hurts - Addictive

I know a lot of you consider this commercial stuff to be the antithesis of good dance/house but I'd appreciate if anyone could suggest some more suitable tracks.

    Party music wise.

    Id go with some

    Mylo
    Daft punk
    2 Many Dj's
    Felix da housecat

Id mostly play sets so the music generally flows better, nothing worse than going form a banger to a melody. Always puts a pause on the atmoshere.

Go to the sets thread and download some of them The Adam Freeland one is Good for parties and its long

I'm "mixing" (i.e. beatmatched x-fading with some minor phaser effects and some acappelas for leading in) with Atomix VirtualDJ and then burning it to CD as one long track - Damn my lack of decks  And lack of talent :p

I've already got a good mix of Felix's - Silver Screen, Shower Scene on another CD and plenty of Daft Punk stuff. Could you suggest anything from Mylo or 2manyDJs? I heard 2manyDJs played a cracking gig in Redbox a while ago but I'm pretty unfamiliar with them...

Get your hands on As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt.2 (the only official 2 Many DJs release) - mixed for you and about a million times better than any of us could! Play the whole CD...always a winner. It's an eclectic mix of quality tunes - check out the playlist.

A few suggestions to add to the ones already made...

Junior Jack - Da Hype (Warren Clarke remix)
Fatboy Slim - Song For Lindy, Out of my Head
Plump DJs - The Gate, Creepshow, Electric Disco
    New Order - Blue Monday
Laurent Garnier - Man with the red face
    Royksopp - Eple
    Soulwax -E Talking
Alan Braxe & Fred Falk - Running
Rhythm is Rhythm - Strings For Life (Soul Central Remix)
    Pizzaman - Trippin On Sunshine
    Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar
    Underworld - Born Slippy
    Stone Roses - Fools Gold

Now if ya mixed all the above tunes together nice and tight and in a completely different order you would have a cracking mix for your party!!! :)
