PayPal Accounts with same CC #

    My dad has got a paypal account, and I'd like to use his credit card number to set up one of my own.

    Does paypal compare accounts and credit card numbers, or would this plan cause my dads account to bork?

    As far as I know, it should be okay in theory. When you first sign up an account with Paypal, you have to verify you have proper access to that card. They charge your card a few dollars, and leave a reference number in the details. You go to the site, put in that reference number, and you're done. (they refund the money afterwards)

    I don't see any mention of a card being used on multiple accounts on their site, so I'd say you're okay.

    It might not hurt to contact them directly.
    There are issues with adding credit cards to accounts if they do not match the account holder's name.
