It was a single around 2000/2001 and had a chorus line or interlude
    with a woman singing "L.A, L.A, L.A". i.e "El-Ay, El-Ay, El-Ay" as in
Los Angeles. It had a catchy keyboard riff which was quite jingly.
I recall hearing it being played on G Ryan show on 2FM around about
yr 2000 or perhaps a year or so after. I tried to google the lyrics but
"L.A" is mostly matching la-la-la rather than the abbreviation for
Los Angeles. It was a fairly mainstream pop record which had a lot
of references to urban US city life (I think...).

I wouldn't be mad about the song but its killing me that I can't
place the name of the band or the title!

can you figure which song it is/was ?

You should be on Never mind the Buzzcocks ! :)

Was that a hit... or a flop. It was a song which had its moments.
Were they a 1 "hit" wonder?

Think it was a bit of a hit of the back of a Bacardi campaign

it was a big hit with a capital S

cant say i liked the song, but it was catchy though. one of those songs you couldnt get out of your head if someone in the room started humming or singing it.
