    Has this ever worked ... for anyone ... in the history of mankind??? I've been working with Pc's and Windows for a few yrs now and its not once worked, whats the point of having it :confused:

    It's worked for me a fair few times alright, but for smaller things like bad drivers preventing boot etc.
    I find it generally useless when there's a major problem like system file corruption though.
    It's really hit and miss, but the times that it does save your bacon makes it all worth while :)
    AFAIK it just swaps over the registry backups like Win98 used to with scanreg /restore, so I guess if your problem isn't a registry problem, you're pretty stuffed.
