Eircom contradiction on account no validity (for clicksilver broadband activation)

    I just contracted UTV to see how my broadband connection was going.
    They informed me that eircom, after originally confirming my account no for the phone account transfer, has proclaimed the same account no as invalid when clicksilver has attempted to set up the broadband account?!!
    Then line checks out for broadband, so that is not the problem.
    Are eircom taking the piss here as usual?
