Heaviest rain i've seen in quite a while here. I've recorded 3.8mm of rain here in 3 minutes with a peak rain rate of 51.1mm/hr
Edit:Peaked at 73.2mm/hr.

Fantastic day - sunny with a light fresh breeze. White fluufy clouds and the early Autumn colours starting to show. If everyday ws like this I'd be happy.

Ditto, though been above 15C since just after midday, maxing at 17.4C

A range today of 15C, 2nd highest for October in my records.

The mother of all downpours(microburst?) here that lasted less than a minute.
New rain rate record at 143.5mm/hr or nearly 2.4mm per min.

Woke us all up here and set off some car alarms.Looking at the radar it was very localised.

14.2mm so far thats a half inch in 3 hrs and coming down like no tomorrow:eek: :eek:

Just drove out from Arklow to here and the road is flooded in a few places.
The bottom of the cemetary hill for instance has a lake of water covering the entire road thats maybe close to a foot deep.

Had continuous rain here from about 4:30 to 8:30 15.2mm total not too heavy though, just consistant. The highest rain rate was 10.2mm/hr and that didn't last very long
