I've been told by a few people that there was very heavy rain here last night. I noticed flooding in one or two fields in the area.

I noticed today that my lawn is seriously waterlogged, when walking over it there is a distinct "squelch" sound and the fields do have some floods that you'd usually see in winter.

Yep, pretty much...the core of Summer is gone, you can get the distinct autumnal feel to the shorter evenings now.

Got up to 20.5c here, it's nice to get a few dry days even if it's not exactly a heatwave.
