Apart from an almighty downpour at 9am, today was glorious.

Lovely day here in south Wicklow all day apparently.
But when I was coming back from Kilkenny earlier, there was a big shower as we passed by the top of Mount Leinster on the Carlow/Wexford border.
Pulled in at the RTÉ gates and it was gas viewing the rain and hail spill out of those clouds onto the ground way down at sea level
Three or four hand gliders having a rare time flying off the top of mount Leinster too.
Far too scarey a thing for me to try...

The weather at 2500 feet is a different thing entirely! Can you still drive right up to the transmitter?

Weather here sunny and dry until a few mins ago, now some rain and the wind has picked up.

    EDIT! Thunder!

    Mike.

Gate closed and the RTÉ hut shutters closed and looking evacuated...
You could walk up the lane or drive up a wood lane further down and then trek across.

They seem to have stopped access everywhere then, Mount Kipure (sp) used to be visitor friendly, the last time I was up that way years ago admittedly, it looked like Checkpoint Charlie.

Anyway, today the weather is rather cloudy with light random rain. Coolish but a little humid.

    Yes it is.
Wonder would there be many calls of complaint if we invaded and switched their transmissions on all frequencies over to what you can get of a FTV sky card :D

Today - mostly cloudy but pleasant.

Started sunny then filled in, then cleared to sun again, was quite humid but freshened up.

Raining on and off for past 2 hours in Wicklow.

As per mothman last night, heavy rain at times.
It actually got warmer through the day yesterday and by 6pm it seemed at its sunniest and warmest.

    Then the rain came...

    Bright and sunny this morning

Dublin, and the day doesn't know what it wants.

If was SOOO sunny at 6:15am this morning, then cloudy, now sunny and warm, but also looking like it wants to rain....which I bet it will!

Lovely till about an hour ago and pleasant sunshine in among the clouds.

    Clouds have taken over now.
    Still dry though.

And we had no rain here in South Wicklow-none at all-bone dry in fact.

Right now the sun has even come out!!

Humid and horrid (very low tolerance for this sort of weather).

The sun blinded me driving to work at 6:15am yesterday morning.

Today it was drizzly and humid (and dangerous on the roads!)

Really odd weather here for the past few days-spells of very hot sunshine and then banks of cold misty drizzle appear out of nowhere.

Does drizzle on St Swithins day (yesterday) count as rain? :(

Bright and warm but nothing too sunny.

    OK then Mike. Inchicore, D8:

Bright but becoming a little on the overcast now. Well maybe not quite overcast but not as bright as it was an hour ago. Wind looks to be fresh, maybe moderate. There was a short but rather sharp shower around 1pm. Looks like it should be dry for at least another hour, perhaps the rest of the day. Seems to be altocumlus type cloud rolling in now. To my northeast, I can see some medium sized cumlus, perhaps just thick enough to produce a light shower over the irish sea to the east of the Rush/Lusk/Donabate area.
Went to the shop just before the lunchtime shower with just a t-shirt on (I am talking about the top half of my body only before I get any smart comments!!!). I wouldn't have called it warm but I didn't get goose bumps despite the breeze so it can't be that cold. Defo not like mid-July though
Temp according to the car was 17.5C as I arrived @ work @ midday.

So there are my observations for today, based mainly on looking out the office window.

    I'll be brief :D
    Yesterday was lovely.
Today breezier, some sun but the showers have been getting going in the last couple of hours.
