My report tomorrow will be different.

Mild after chilly start, more showers than I anticipated. Tomorrow looks like being a very wet hell.

A MAJOR STORM WILL AFFECT ALL PARTS OF IRELAND DURING WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. SOME STRUCTURAL DAMAGE AND FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED. Winds, initially mainly between Northeast and Southeast in direction, will reach mean speeds of 45 to 55 miles per hour, with gusts of 70 to 80 miles per hour. Winds will may veer southerly on the South coast later. Structural damage such as fallen trees, etc. can be expected. Rainfall totals in excess of 50mm over a wide area will lead to some severe flooding, due to the already saturated ground. Some parts of Munster and south Leinster could see totals of up to 80 mm of rain. High Seas and high tides, will lead to coastal flooding, particularly in the South and East of the country.

Just giving you people a heads up on whats coming are way over the next 24hrs.

Full moon with a high tide too. That is what caused the floods in Ringsend before. A similar combination of factors now presents themselves, so what will happen?

WHAT the hell is the wind doing to you!!!? :D

Not the windiest I've seen by a long shot as of yet, but quite windy at this stage-I'm expecting the storm proper this evening.
The Irish sea looks fierce with the white horses.
I've just been at the post office carpark in Arklow and the Avoca River is right at it's bank in full tidal flood with mad Waves and foam moving up it, from the sea and thats at the carpark nearly half a mile up river.

It's raining moderately now, but still there hasn't been a great amount.
That river is going to get interesting later on this evening when the mountain flood waters meet the sea flood
I think there may be trouble ahead

I think that what they are predicting with this storm, is not the fact that it will be hurricane force winds and rain, its more the fact that high winds and 3 inches of rain will be sitting on top of the country for more than 36 hours, which for storms in the past we have experienced, is unprecedented.

A friend of mine in Cork says there are some trees down in the area. They still have electricity though. His boss is considering sending everyone home early.

    Lucky feckers.
