    I aint lying Earthman :D
Maybe the showers are more intense just when they arrive
onshore! I dont know but earlier i saw some wet snow and
i did have a heavy hail shower at around 1 so :p

    Never said you were.

Showers hitting the warmer coast as sleet snow hail and freezing rain in your area having traveled in from a Sea reporting temps of approx 7c and how they are falling mainly as rain just inland(heavy Rain at Dublin Airport ie a heavy shower) usually its the opposite that happens

As I said a meterological wonder

    Tornado in south dublin. :|

Well, spinning funnel cloud that didn't actually touch the ground but was cool to see nonetheless!

    LOL I've enjoyed reading today's posting's...

    Report from Sugarloaf.
It was dry when I got there at about 10:30. A little snow on ground could be seen from about 500ft, slush on road from 700ft. a 20 minute hail shower at 11:00 that covered the cars. It stayed mostly dry after that with some sunshine.

At home, light rain for much of the afternoon.

really really bad out there now the wind is astonishing, trees
bend into limbo at 90 degrees and the house rattling like hell

Quite windy here now Gusts to 60 or 70 mph -that is all
I'm on a hill top weathercheck and my house isnt rattling

Whats your house made of weathercheck?? :D

I notice the North wind has brought that weather band right down the Irish sea and crashing into wales- with mubles and milford haven reporting rain, though snow is probable on the montain tops.
How that Blob was expected to cross the warmer air Irish sea and freeze as it did so to bring ice and snow to the east coat is beyond me...
It would again have been a meterological wonder
Nothing at all coming near the East coast or anywhere near Ireland.

Another cold and very windy day basically with a few wintry showers which as expected by the met are now in the afternoon dying out.
Temperatures in the range 5-7c as predicted by the met.

and said it had been snowing..

Not surprised to see that other stupid thread locked. What a load of rubbish weathercheck.

We had an impressive hailstorm today. Pics are viewable on TWO for anyone interested. Also had a bit of snow. Snowing very lightly now, but brightning up from what it was like half hour ago.

With warmer air coming down behind that band over south wales, there will be no blizzards and we will be able to safely venture out of our houses I reckon.

    Learnt anything weathercheck?

It's just doing what it's been doing all winter - showing phenonmenal winter conditions at a week or so away. Not once has it happened, so you can safely assume it wont this time either :)

GFS has gone down a mile in my estimation this winter. It has been absolute crap at picking out trends in both the mid and long range. Those wintery scenarios in the longer range have been there all winter. Beyond 96z the model isn't even worth printing

Thats really not true Matty, GFS shows trends
and i find that 60% of the time the trends do
come. Although i do agree i find it hard
to trust it of late. Remember it picked
out this current cold blip 8 days in advance
in FI and so the Christmas cold snap ;)
