South Laois...22.4c outside and it's 9.45pm! I don't see temps dropping much below 20 tonight. I think we could get 30 tomorrow....

Temperatures tomorrow can just about feasibly reach 30c with
perfect conditions. I'd be more sure of maxima of 27-28c in
    many parts ;)

Almost 26c in the shade here now in S wicklow with a fair bit of sun in the cloud.
Benefiting from a nice breeze off the land as opposed to the sea.

    Feels scorching.

I notice at 11am the Arklow Bypass had 24c whereas Baltinglass had 18c,its usually the other way round!! due to sea breezes we win today :D

    It just keeps rising
Just above 27 here now in the shade.
Breeze is in the west south west somewhere.
The suns been shining in mixed cloud since morning.

Definitely the hottest day here in a long time.

Official max so far of 26.8°C. Highest of year and not far behind station record of 27.3°C, and this with little sunshine and SW breeze.

Rest of country is lagging behind, so a reversal of recent days.

    Wooo hoo!

I'd like to report a 28 in the shade in milky sunshine and a light wsw breeze.

You can feel it the minute you go out the door.
I know my thermometer is only in the garden and not under scientific conditions but its reasonably accurate usually.

This is warmer than the french rivierra-Nice airport is at 27 -we've got 28 :D

Cooled down to a nice 21c now

And this is the evening sky to the south-some beautifull clouds, plus the evidence of some convective activity-had to share though the file is a bit big ( 450kb) :)

the warm sticky weather is gonna keep going and going by the looks of things, 21c to 25c over next week quite feasable in good sunshine, most days I walk 10km for fitness purposes and over past week Ive acquired quite a good tan just from walking in it alone.

A seriously torrential looking shower passed a few miles to the north of Portmarnock yesterday evening a little after 9. Did you see it, Weathercheck?

Lord ghod Gonzo put on a sweater up there before you freeze to death :D

20c here in S wicklow windy and sunny.

One light shower earlier which hardly wet the ground.
From the sky it looks like no more showers are likely here today.

Heavy overnight rain(since about 11pm) after a dry but cloudy day yesterday.
Dry now in south Wicklow and that sky almost seems as if it wants to release some sunshine.
Very dull over the hills though,Cant see them.

Heavy falls of rain sliding up the east coast.

    Rosslare near 20mm today, I've had 11mm

Dublin should get a little relief from the drought.
