yep.. phone up o2 and tell them you wanna keep your old number.. they'll ask you a few questions and your away.. you'l be on the 086 network but with 087 number.. i did that.. went form 087 network, kept my number, now on the 085 network!

Yep, no problem. O2 will supply a SIM for you free of charge.

I've had my 086 number on all three networks, lol. I switched to Vodafone last October but couldn't stand them and went to Meteor one week later!

Was on vodafone but got meteor phone at xmas. rang meteor 2 days ago about keeping my old number and within 2hrs it was done. well worth it. saves a lot of hassle.
