    hi all.

just recently.me bike is starting to acted up.
sometimes it wont start.i thinks its the safty
feature causing it.with the stand down and
if its in gear.it will not start.whch is correct.
but the odd time its in neutral and stand down.
it will not start.this is all wired back to the cdi unit.
just wondering any one else have simular problems
    with the bandit.

    cheers..

could be the stand switch ok , this could be fixed quickly

is it 400 or 600 version?does it happen when engine is warm?

As Gmodified says - most likely culprit is the stand switch, and a wash followed by a shot of WD40 should sort it. I'm assuming you are seeing a neutral light, so it knows that the bike isn't in gear? Find the stand switch and check it hasn't had a knock.

its a 96-600.it happened about 3 times in the last month.
cold to warm it has happened mainly.
kind of guessing it would be either of those switches.i can
sort of rule out the stand switch.wether the stand is up or
down.so long as its not in gear.it should still start.you can
hear a click comming from the cdi unit when you engage a
a gear.just wondering is there so sort of relay in there.

    cheers...........
