After my Mum died my Dad's drinking wound him up in Intensive Care. He's sober now for the first time in 40 years. But I know what your going through, and it's not easy. Hang with your mates, you always have your mates. And you could try Alanon or Alateen. They're support groups for people with alcoholics in there lives. (Alateen if for teenagers).

They are affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous, so AA can put you in touch with your nearest group (contact details below), although they are religious it pretty much just consists of a prayer at the start and end of meetings.

Or you could try Adult Children of Alcoholics:

    http://www.adultchildren.org/

I've heard these people have a very good recovery program and are an excellent support.

I don't know how old you are, but your not a child anymore.

    AA contact details:
    (I'm assuming you're in Ireland)
    General Service Office
    109 South Circular Road
    Dublin 8
    Phone: 01-4538998 or 01-4537677

Thats a tough one, it would have to be either sketching, listening to music or kicking some ass online playing Unreal Tournament...

Or maybe the due on a leaf on a mid summer morning ... Na!

sleeping, arguably the only time i am completely content.
also way up there is swimming, i noticed a couple of other ppl had that one too, really gotta be the best feeling in the world, completely submerged in water, there's nothing quite like it.

Not an awful lot makes me happy either.i spose its the small things(cliché alert!).
I always find something that makes me mad or upset, whether it be in my life or concerning strangers thousands of miles away.

the main thing that keeps me happy is knowing i have people who love me (be it friends or partners) would never stab me in the back and help me through hard times and know that if they are going through hard times that they will come to me.

Not to mention liverpool beating man u 2-0 makes me v happy. wink.gif

On the subject of sleep, something that makes me happy is going to bed while very tired, and knowing I don't have to get up until I want to the next day. Made even better if there's a storm on outside, I like to listen to the wind and rain aganst the roof.

That also makes me quite happy.

I also quite like captaining a local soccer
team, win lose or draw, although winning is
better, for some reason the pint after winning
a match is the sweetest pint one can have.
Oh and beating our local rivals 5-0 in the cup
    also quite good.

You never expect the Beefy Inquisition !!!

The time when everything that hour earlier seemed to be going wrong, yet everything turns out well, and you can relax..
