MSN Messenger not connecting!!!

Couple of suggestions:

Right-Click and close msn messenger totally. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del. and check in the processes tab that any instance of msn messenger isn't runnin

Then start msn messenger up again...

Or

If you dont have messenger 7.0 go to the site and download it!

same here - won't connect. I recently upgraded to the latest version - wonder if it has anything to do with this?

Yeh I had probs with the latest version so I reverted back to a previous install.

Yeah.. I'm having problems with msn messenger now. I've even tried it on different computers and everything. In work and my house? I also tried the MSN Online Messenger, that isn't loading either!

My messenger is fine at moment. It is knocking itself off from time to time though.

HAd same problem before, check the IP settings in the option menu make sure it is clear on auto detect !!!

mine got a fixed IP number from somewhere before !!

I sorted it last night dudes... turned off the bb router and turned it back on, hey presto it worked...

Why is it you always try the most complex solution first and leave the easiest one till last?

Arse....I installed the Beta version - it worked fine. Powered down the machine and came back later and cranked it up again ...it worked fine.


But now its not working again..wtf.

Seems i always have problems with messenger. Used to use Trillian but you get fed up of microsoft fecking around with it so that messenger won't work with it.

Check the contral settings :- Connections MAKE SURE ALL ARE CLEAR !!!

Have returned to the bog standard windows messenger that comes with xp....and is working now..
