This one is ringing in my head and I havent a clue of the artist or title.
It was a song which had a lot of airplay around 2002 or so.
It has a catchy drum/bass line with a dinky chopped guitar interspersed on top
of the drum/bass beat. I think the drum/bass/riff line is sampled as instrumental
for some contemporary/recent dance tracks also.

The verse has a male vocalist saying something along the lines of
"girl I feel so right ......"

it may be "baby I feel so right"

and then various lines in the verse rhyming with right...
    perhaps "in the moonlight"

The video looked like a bunch of girls/guys from continental Europe (possibly
French) and featured a skinny dark haired girl.

Someone here before recognized an obscure song I mentioned straight off the bat.

    ANyone ideas?

I think I know the one you're on about.
I did a bit of investigation and I've come up with 'Modjo - Lady' as my suggestion.

EDIT: you can hear a sample of it here

    Dr Dre,

You guys freak me out with your talents at finding songs
when my recollections are so vague and badly expressed!
Spot on! That's the one. Isn't the bass line used in an
instrumental re-mix of sorts ? It's a very catchy riff.

    Pffft, haven't a clue! :D

Not my type of music at all, just something clicked with me when I read your original post :)

not my type of music either.. I'm nearly 40 but I have eclectic tastes.
I've just heard that riff sampled a few times quite effectively as a filler
on TV shows, etc. I just tend to go out of my mind when I've no clue
as to who the artist is. It's probably my naff way of staying slightly
    "with it" LOL

actually further digging around reveals that "Chillin'" from the same
group is the club dance track I was mixing up with the re-mixed
    version of the "lady" song.

I think it's used in The Stuntmasters "The Lady-Boy is Mine" mashup with Brandy & Monica.
