I have since purchased a new headunit for my car(Sony CDX-F7700) from the states, the savings on it were to much for me to ignore(as opposed to the irish prices-over a €200 saving after postage). Anyway the frequencies of the radio increase in 0.2Mhz at a time in odd increments i.e. 97.5, 97.7, 97.9, 98.1 so i cannot get some of the stations i wish to get. I have been looking round on the net and was just wondering has anyone tried a band expander with their US headunits. Here is one i have seen

    http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~electdev/

And it says on the page about the band expander that it "e.q. FM Station Broadcasted on 97.4Mhz will be tuned to 97.5Mhz " but does this mean then that i cannot get say the station which should have been on 97.5??

Or is there another way round it, is ther a code that unlocks the Sony CDX-F7700 which i got to allow it to increase in increments of .1Mhz at a time...

Any help would be greately appreciated...

    thanks in advance

    brophy
