    Carriage Outwards - Trade account

Bad Debts - Profit and Loss
Carriage outwards isn't in the trading account, that's carriage inwards. It's easy to get them confused. Carriage outwards belongs in the profit and loss. The bad debts goes into the balance sheet in the current assets (I'm pretty sure) as:

    Debtors
    Less Bad Debts

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 51 ✭✭Ambrosia

To the above, Bad Debts itself is an expense and it goes in the Profit and Loss account and that's it, Bad debts written off goes in the Balance Sheet and is taken off debtors.

A Shop Steward is the representative of a trade union in a workplace, they recruit new members, provide information about rights and responsibilities, talk to management about disagreements and inform Head Office of any dispute.

In TG how do you construct a tangent from a point to an elipse if the point is not on the line continued from the major axis?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 268 ✭✭Frank3142

oh god this is a long one.
    1. take your compass put it on the point and take the nearest focii point as radius, swing an arc.
    2. put the compass on the farthest focii point, taking the major axis as your radius and draw an arc to cut the top and bottom of the other arc.
    3. join the points where the arc was cut to the farther focii point for your points of contact.
    4. draw tangent

(it makes more sense on paper)

    *MATHS*

Prove that the sum of the two opposite internal angles of a triangle add up to the opposite external angle. (No need for diagram)

  • Registered Users Posts: 166 ✭✭TW Mr Tayto

You need to say that all angles add to 180 and that the other adds to 180.
Then the 3 internal angles minus one = X
    The external also = X

Not 100% sure if thats right, but I can do it if I have a pencil in my hand :L
