They were. The Italians were angry after WWI because they did not get the land that they had been promised by joining the Allied Forces in 1917. :)

Urban redevelopment is demolishing old buildings and replacing them with a building with a different function.
e.g. knocking down an apartment block and building shops.

    Em...haven't heard that one before.
Does it mean like nothing can dissolve in the substance?

If I'm right...what is hard water and name 2 advantages & disadvantages of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭CookieMonster.x

Hard water is water that does not easily form a lather with soap.
It tastes nicer and it's good for your teeth
    but
it produces a scum/limescale of kettles and I can't remember another one :(

Explain the process of freeze thaw action.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6 oisink64

Freeze thaw action is where water seeps into cracks in rocks by day and it freezes by night water expands when frozen so the rock is put under pressure. After repeated times the rock breaks and falls to the bottom of the slope and is called scree.

If 6 workers can build a shed in 64 hours, how many workers are neccessary to build a shed in 24 hours?

You'd already given a drawback. Hard water requires more soap (that includes washing detergent, dishwasher powder) and is therefore more expensive.

    6 X 64
    24

    = 16 workers

    ...A___________B
    .../................../
    ../................../
    ./C_________/D

First draw a line from B to C

    To prove |ab|=|cd| and angle B = angle C

    C1(closer to D) = b2(closer to a)
    c2=b1
    .:. (angle c1+c2) = (angle b1+b2)
    c1+c2 = C
    b1+b2 = B
    .:. B=C

    ..A___________B
    .../................../
    ../................../
    ./C_________/D

    Hmmmm.... Lets see...
    Draw from B to C
    angles ABC = angles BCD
    congruent triangles
    ????????????????
    .:.|ab| = |dc|
    Don't have a clue hoestly :(

I didn't copy these. Were doing these now so I guess I got lucky :)

Name two European countries (excluding Ireland) that remained neutral throughout WW2
