    Explain briefly the cuban missile.crisis

Batista controlled Cuba. America bought their sugar and controlled industry. Castro overthrew Batista. Nationalised the country. America refused to buy Cuban sugar as Castro had taken their industries. Castro turns to the Soviet Union. They buy the sugar Cuba buys their weapons. After the invasion of the Bay of Pigs Cuba and the Soviet Union become closer. Missile bases are seen in Cuba by American spy planes. Troops on alert. Cuba is surrounded by American naval vessels. Soviet ships turn but others not carrying equipment agree to be searched. It ends with the missile bases being removed from Cuba and America promising not to invade Cuba. American missile bases are later dismantled in Turkey. The Moscow Washington hotline is established to slow the leaders to directly communicate.

  • Registered Users Posts: 61 ✭✭UnitedFan31

Home Rule was no longer seen as enough and people wanted independence.
Sinn Féin were wrongly blamed for the rising by the British and called the Sinn Féin raising and this changed the publics opinion.

Convectional rainfall is when a warm front and cold front meet. The warm front which is lighter than the cold front is forced to go over the cold front. The warm front rises, cools and condenses to form clouds and it gives off precipitation. This rainfall is mostly found in areas near the equator.

    History: Explain Mussolini's Economic policies

Not trying to be a know-it-all but i think what you're describing is frontal rainfall. I thought you should know as it might come up in the exam.

Give three reasons why Hitler's actions and foreign policy lead to the outrbreak of World War 2.

I'm aware that policing of spelling is not appreciated in boards, but since this thread is related to the Junior Cert. I though some might like to know that led, past tense of lead, is spelled L - E - D, not L - E - A - D. That mistake is so widespread now, even in the media, that I wonder if I'm wasting my time pointing it out. Maybe the teachers misspell it too, and will penalise you for spelling it correctly!
