Actually the Soft Cell version is a cover too. It was originally by Gloria Jones (who was going out with Marc Bolan and was also in the car crash that killed him fact fans). A good version of Tainted Love to check out is Coil's version. They were friends with Marc Almond and released their version not long after Soft Cell. Coil slowed it down and made a video starring Marc Almond as the Angel of Death (the video and song were a comment on the AIDS epidemic which affected a lot of mutual friends as Coil were very much part of Britain's gay underground).

Yeah, it is actually freaky the way she sings it. It is really slow and as you say almost psychotic. Worth a listen though!

By the way did you get your signature from the Sentenced song? Its a great song... The whole album it is on is excellent.

dmb -watchtower, and needless to say jimi hendrix' version.
and a whole bunch of covers that dmb does -least i enjoy them all .
hmm, this prob doesn't count -but theres a remix of crash by dmb for all them hip hoppers out there. its actually great. i tend to hate remixes, and the fact that i think they did an excellent job with this song is crazy talk. (maybe jay-z but i haven't a clue)

and the covers by reel big fish -they do ska versions of songs (new york, new york, brown eyed girl, take on me, hungry like a wolf etc.) those are cool -brown eyed girl is excellent.

The bad:
and despite how much i enjoy U2 -i just don't know about their watchtower cover. *shakes head*
and spears' i love rock and roll. ugly, Ugly state of affairs.

I don't know how you could say that the top songs are good and Korn's version of One is bad, not even bad, but ugly! I really like R.A.T.M. but I think that's a bad cover. And as for Electric 6's cover of Radio GaGa, shudder.....
