Rubber dollies, Cork words

    Apparently it's only in Cork that the yokes below are called rubber dollies - everyone else must call them plimsolls (and in fact, if you search for "rubber dollies" with google, the results are a bit different)

    ok, it's not just a Cork word, but it's the context more so for this one...
    Working in Dublin a few years back I made the mistake of calling my "trousers" "pants" - apparently pants are underwear in Dublin! - did I get funny looks or what! :o

    same up in Sligo.. feck sake.. no self respecting homosapien could go around calling their pants trousers. It just aint right on a fundamental level!
