    Hi

    Im trying to write a formula for excel for a formula 1 type record using 2 basic tables (see attachment,change to .xls, done manually). I was wondering if it would be possible to write a formula so that when you put the finishing position in the first table it would write the score in the corresponding slot in the second table using the following scheme.

    1st = 10
    2nd = 8
    3rd = 6
    4th = 5
    5th = 4
    6th = 3
    7th = 2
    8th = 1
    9th - 24th no score

    Any help would be greatfully accepted

    Oh I added a (+the left cell) to the end to make it add the total
