Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Office Space...

Do not underestimate how funny this film is and if you work in an office you need to watch it.

    American Flyers

    Rocky on a bicycle

    12 Angry men.

One of the best scripts ever

    Yes office space rocks

Id say the last broadcast, made a couple of years before the blair witch but there similar ideas, have never met anyone who has seen this film and am dying to talk about it,i cannot tell people how excellent this film is.

4 rooms is the name of an other film, i think its the name anyway, 4 different stories about people in a hotel, and the common character, the bell boy,Tim Roth, Quentin Tatintino wrote/produced one of the stories i think and Robert Rodriguez wrote another one, and what was he later based spy kids on. Very dark but ultimitly brillient movie

[Edit]Just ordered both of them and 'The Return' as well[/Edit]

Seconded. The piano duel is spectacular and the film is worth watching just for that.

Before Sunset is one of the worst, most pretentious films I've ever seen. If you see it in a video shop (unlikely, it's Arthouse ****) spray it with Mace and leg it.

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid - Steve Martins finest hour!

    and

Fail Safe - There's 2 version and both are great, but the 1964 original is better. It's all filmed on a sound stage and is more like a play than a film, but it is very powerful.

The Hitcher - great horror from the 80's with Rutguer Hauer
Evil Dead Trilogy - hopefully most have seen it but still many I mention it to haven't

    Ikiru
I'll second the vote for The Killing and Paths of Glory which was mentioned earlier

A sh!tload of film noir (anyone else a big fan of this genre) like:
    The Asphalt Jungle
    The Big Sleep
    D.O.A.
    Double Indemnity
    Out of the past
    The Set-Up
    Sunset Boulevard
    Sweet Smell of Success

    And some more modern films:

Bang Bang, You are Dead - like Elephant but better
    Dirty Pretty Things
    F#cking Åmål
    The Iron Giant
    Lantana
    Memories of Murder
    Network
    Roger Dodger
    Sleuth
    Dead Man

    Buster Keaton - The General
    Charlie Chaplin - City Lights

I'd better stop there before I just basically list my favourite seldom seen films.

I really felt that About Schmidt starring Jack Nicholson deserved more attention. Much of the criticism I heard was along the lines of:
    God, that was awful depressing!
    or
He was still Jack, I suppose, but he wasn't being his usual Jack the Lad...
There is humour in this film in spades. And Nicholson is brilliant.

Also, check out Sexy Beast, starring Ray Winstone. It was directed by Jonathan Glazer who I think directed Radiohead's "Street Spirit" vid. The film is:
    Fandabadozee- tastic

    the ones I'd recommend seeing that most haven't would be;

    Crazy / Beautiful
    The Breakfast Club

And recently, the Garden State, bit different but I really liked it.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

The Straight Story - David Lynch, a gem of a film
Freaks - 1932 film, if you can find it - disturbing but excellent

EDIT: and of course Narc ,superb film
plus most of the lists people have come up with so far.
