Is it just me or has there been no backups for the last two nights?

normally happens around now

and the server goes offline

3 am every day, boards.ie is unavailable for about 15 minutes while the entire database is backed up in case it crashes.

How big would you say the back up is! probably not much cos like it's only takes 15 mins..

Could have been moved to a different time. My own opinion is that it's somehow been moved to three in the afternoon, because for the last two days boards has died right around then.

600MB of compressed text is a gargantuan amount.
For comparison, eirtaku's forum has (at time of post) 17,437 posts, (and there's pm's on top of that) which backs up to a measly 16.18MB.
