sharp gx30 cover and just general help

im just wondering does any one know where in ireland i can get a Sharp gx30
cover at a desent price

iv changed the title because i need help with my gx30
theres infrared on the gx30 right can it be used to send txts by infrared

and can the external display be changed [the picture in side]

iv looked up the manual it doesnt help

if you go into the display settings you can change the external picture but you need a pic to replace it with!!

whats the problem with buying in sterling??

there is ebay ireland have you looked on that?

nearly all the prices are still in sterling though anyway!!

thanks smoke but can a gx30 do infrared theres a infrared port on top so it do but how can you send txts to another person by infrared or i that possible on a gx30

The star button is for taking self shots!!!
Ha ha ha
It switches the display to the outside screen so you can look at the screen while taking pictures of yourself!!

To take a picture with a Sharp, just press the centre key when you are looking at the screen

no i really looked for it everywhere in the manual and no luck

The gx10 and 20 cant but you can use a usb cable and transfer to your pc.Maybe you can send files via ir on the gx30 make sure your infared is on and is next to the other mobile.

Oh yeah i think there manuels are wrong because on the sharp mobile site it says you cant transfer files from your phone to pc via infared same as the manuel but you actually can so dont trust the maneul :eek:

I dunno really. I came across this before with a GX20 and from memory it is VERY limited in what you can use the infrared for.......

Which is really annoying because otherwise they are great phones

you can however use the ir to use a laptop to connect to the internet but is very expensive!!

got a scary bill once swore never to use it again!! (but did) lol...

just noticed 50_Pence has disappeared!!!
