    Stonewall in the UK has just released a report on which UK employers were the most gay friendly:

    Stonewall includes some prominent public sector bodies, no doubt reflecting that a large proportion of the country's workforce are in public sector employment.

    Top of the list, with a score of 89%, was the British Council.

    The top 10 employers in the index are:

    1 British Council - 89%
    2= Citigroup - 88%
    2= Credit Suisse First Boston - 88%
    2= IBM - 88%
    2= Manchester City Council - 88%
    6 Department for Constitutional Affairs - 87%
    7= Department for Education and Skills - 86%
    7= Goldman Sachs - 86%
    7= Inland Revenue - 86%
    7= Nottingham Primary Care Trusts - 86%

    The full report, including a summary of the methodology, is available from here as a PDF file from Stonewall's web site.

    Do you think something like this for Ireland might encourage more companies to become more inclusive ? Do you think Ireland needs a group like Stonewall ?
