My little mate "gentleman JIm" from here has been hounding me for a while to take him out for a stalk...I finally gave in and set a date.....
We arrived at the shoot at stupid oclock in the morning and after a few hours of trekking through the hills we tracked down this spiker and my little buddy did the rest.....

The smile on his face says it all....(Im sure he`s still smiling)

    Sleeping is for sissys :D
Those 2 are sundays birds. Usually get out 2ce a week & get 2 each time as a self imposed bag limit each day I bring out the pointer out.

On holidays since Friday so can get out a bit more...
The gun is a lanber, nice solid basic gun. Does everything from shoot to act as a walking stick when getting up over ditches;)

044.JPG Got these two with the side by side this morning! You can call foxes in daylight, just as easy as night with this weather, once your well camoflaged and well hidden!!!

    Below is my first hind

Nearly two years after i decided i wanted to get into stalking i finally baged my first Hind ...

It was a great experience even though it was my second animal.

Practice really paid so does good gear

    Shot with a Sako 75 in 270 (130 Gram RWS bullet) at 130 - 140 yards

She was a bit of a drag but well worth it...
