    EPointer,

    Great action photos.

Shots are captured frames from a video run on your hat cam??

    Which software are you using?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,067 ✭✭✭EPointer=Birdss

Spot on DB - stills from videos. I'm just using the Flip recorder software or the Kodak arcsoft media player. Both come with cameras. Couldn't be easier TBH. If they were digital camera quality i'd get some beauts. Not enough frames per second...

i shot this fallow fawn as she jumped out from where she was bedding down.

the doe jumped up first and i got the rifle up just in time to nail the fawn 60-70yards

the 150gr sst superformance blew her over and inflicted a devastating wound on the entry side and there was no exit wound

that is some wound, are you using .308? The calf looks kind of small for this time of the year - a late calf?

ya .308 and it was very close. i'm guessing it exploded off the back bone hence massive wound
i shot a goat with these same round and i had a normal small entry and large exit of about 1"-1.5" hart shot

and yes i was surprised at how small the fawn was for this time of year.

Hi Jacksnip all pictures were taken with a Canon 5D Mk 1 and 300mm f4 lens at 1/4000 sec.but the 5d is very slow for Photographing Pigeon shooting

What a cracker of a dog. Good stuff deeks

Her father was bred by JWshooter, he was still shooting with her Great Grandmother which he reckons he's shot over 500 dear with.

    She's a cracking dog.

went out sor a stroll to this afternoon to try and I got these two, I hit a third by as Alfie went to retrieve him, he dived under and Alfie turned back..there was a lot of birds around..mainly Teal and a good few Mallard.the only trouble is there is very little cover along the river so they can see you coming, although these two wre shot over large drains ..The first mallare I saw to day I lined up perfect oand started to squueze the trigger only to find i had the safety on so he had time to get away..the nex two were not so luck the first of them was a good 40 yds+...I was really chuffed with that one, possibly one of my longest shots ever with 12 gauge..I had to let the second one run(well,... fly) a bit berore shooting as he took off from cover a 15 yards( my normal range)...but then they are usually so full of shot there hardly anything left :o..also included a picture of the sunset as I thought it was a good finish to a good afternoon
